While thousands of war veterans marched past the Cenotaph memorial in London to mark Remembrance Sunday. 222 (Broadlands) Sqn and the Royal British Legion held a service at St Mary's Church in Wroxham, Norfolk.

The Service was attended by 25 cadets from the Squadron with Cadet Michael Popay laying a wreath on behalf of 222 (Broadlands) and Sergeant’s Andrew Walton and Richard Latham parading the Standards of the Squadron and Royal British Legion. Also in attendance were members from the Sea Scouts, Scouts and St John’s Ambulance.

With 42 British Servicemen and Women having died since the last Remembrance Day, it is important that this day is used to remember not only those who died in the two world wars, but also those who have fought in conflicts since and those who are currently fighting in the Middle East.

“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them”
